• अॅब्झॉरबर हे एक प्रकारचे हायड्रोजेल आहे. हे मूळ पावडर स्वरूपात असून पाण्याच्या संपर्कात आल्यानंतर स्वतःच्या वजनाच्या 250 ते 300 पट पाणी धरून ठेवते. त्याचबरोबर दिलेली खते व अन्नद्रव्ये सुद्धा धरून ठेवते. 
• कमी पाण्याच्या परिस्थितीत देखील पिके तग धरून राहतात. पाणी व रासायनिक खतांच्या वापरामध्ये बचत होते. 
• जमिनीमध्ये हवा व पाणी यांचे प्रमाण संतुलित ठेवले जाते. तसेच पिकांना गरजेनुसार पाणी व अन्नद्रव्यांचा पुरवठा झाल्यामुळे पिकांची वाढ एकसारखी व सशक्त होते.
